2020 was Definitely a Year to Remember
Oh, 2020 was filled to the brim with the unexpected! Covid 19. Schools closed. Shows canceled. Shelter in Place Order. Virtual lessons. Virtual shows. Social distancing. Distance Learning. Masks. Rain Storm & Wind Storm. Out of control wildfires. Evacuation to Fairgrounds for 6 days. Smoke effecting air quality. Horses getting back to work slowly to prevent lung damage. Another rainstorm and some flooding. More shows canceled. Learning to make the most of circumstances even when the world is upside down and focusing on being ready next year's show season.

Prince Wellington is the pony that started it all! Welly is a charming 12.1 hh dapple grey Welsh pony with a heart of gold. Because of his size, Elsie did all of Welly's training herself. Welly was truly a one in a million pony -- and touched our lives in countless ways. Welly competed in 4H and on the OJHA open show circuit in English, Western, Showmanship, Trail, Dressage and Jumping. This sweet pony would do anything asked of him including cross country jumping and chasing cows that were almost his size. At his final show with the Guenther Family, Welly earned an High Point Overall trophy showing against big horses. While he is off on new adventures with the Gere Family's four girls, he is currently being ridden by children with disabilities. We still think of him often with a smile.
